Welcome to the Brewer Family Web page. We've put together this site to help our extended family and friends keep up to date on the goings on of the Brewer family. Achieving Greatness

Bud Brewer

After fifty years working in the investment brokerage, portfolio management and private trust services, Bud retired in 2000 and settled down to enjoy life from the other side of the desk. His plans were to spend his energies playing more golf, playing tournament bridge and enjoying extended travel with Dottie across this great country of ours stopping here and there among the small communities that make up the backbone of this great country. Not wanting to withdraw completely from his lifelong interest in serving the needs of investors dealing with the security markets, the economy and politics, Bud asked his daughter, Patty, an Internet expert, to set up a web site where the family and friends could read about Brewer family doings and he could have a platform for expressing his opinions regarding investments and global politics. Bud is (surprise) a conservative Republican who expresses candid opinions that have caused some to comment: "Often in error, but never in doubt" Come take a look at "One Man's Opinion"

Susan Brewer

In March of 2006, Susan moved to Reno, Nevada and after working in the condo sales division of The Grand Sierra Resort for a year or so she joined Jenny Service Company as the Regional Sales and Marketing Director for the Western States. In her current role she oversees the company's effort to market personal incidentals, equipment and sundry items to state correctional institutions. Jenny is one of limited number of companies that have been authorized to serve the various state institutions in the western division. Susan is responsible for customer development, while at the same time designs and installs updates for the company's brochures. Her position calls for frequent travel throughout the Division, something that Susan has always enjoyed.

Gary Brewer

Come look at Gary & Shelly's family and their beautiful home in Cota de Caza. Gary took a new position this Fall as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Leading Edge Systems headquartered at the John Wayne Airport in Orange County. After 20 years in the Packaging business, Gary decided to switch gears and accept an offer to assume operational responsibility for this interesting company that provides painting and decorative design services for the various public and private airline companies. A strong motivation was the opportunity to be home each day and enjoy being a Dad at his family home in Cota de Caza. This change also helps his wife Shelly's management of their small business in the Desert where they operate two locations for Golden Spoon Yogurt stores. Gary and Shelly's oldest daughter, a fine dancer by vocation is currently a sophomore at the college preparatory school of Rancho Margarita High School. Their second daughter, Elizabeth, is working hard to achieve excellence and is carving out her own esteemed presence in the Brewer Family.

Mike Brewer

Mike is a founding partner of Hornberger and Brewer, a law firm with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County. Hornberger and Brewer has become one of the premier litigation firms in the state of California. For more information on Mike’s firm and his individual accomplishments as a lawyer, please visit the firm’s website at www.hgblaw.com Mike, a single dad, is learning to cope with the challenges of parenting three young daughters. Samantha is off to the University of Arizona this fall, while Hannah and Emily are high school students in Augora, California. In 1991 Mike underwent the first of three kidney transplants donated from family members. The first from his father and the next two from his sisters Kathryn and Susan. All three donors have been actively encouraging and helping other families understand the decision of becoming a kidney donor. The Kidney Transplant Story Mike lives in Corona Del Mar and enjoys the pleasures and anguish of weekly golf at the Newport Beach Country Club.

Kathryn Brewer

Kathryn is often called "Super Mom" given the fact that she not only is Chief Financial Officer for Leading Edge, a company that refurbishes and re-paints the various national airline's fleet of planes as well as those of international airlines, but she runs a three party household where she is joined by two strapping young boys who can be a handful given their needs to be car pooled to school sporting events, field trips, etc.. She is also Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Budor Associates, LLC, her family's investment partnership and she serves as Trustee of the Brewer Grandchildren's Education Trust. She squired her oldest son, Jeff off to the University of Arizona this year but is fortunate to have the help of her other son Scott in maintaining order in a household that is commanded by their Labrador dog, Cooper. As much trouble as it occasionally is to have such a large dog at their home, no matter how difficult and frustrating her day might be at her offices, or on the freeways during the long commute to and from her company, she always knows that when she opens the door upon returning home, she receives a big wet kiss and more than enough affection from Mr. Cooper.

Patty Brewer

Patty is working as a marketing executive with the rapidly growing Digital Insight division of Intuit Inc. The area of responsibility provides outsource online banking applications and other services to banks, credit unions, and savings and loan associations in the United States. The company operates in several segments: Internet Banking, personal and corporate accounting and tax software. She is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast. She recently returned from a second exciting ski trip to Argentina. This followed a journey heli skiing in Alaska. To view a slide show of that trip, click here. Following in her Dad's footsteps, Patty has also become addicted to golf and recently reached one of her goals which was to break 90. In addition, she loves to travel and has climbed Kilamanjaro, Mount Whitney and other mountains of the world. Patty lives in Brentwood, California along with her dog, Cody. Patty serves the Family Partnership, Budor Associates LLC, as Director and Chairman of the company's Real Estate Committee. Patty also serves as the Family's envoy to many exciting international destinations. Photo Gallery
